API's and sample code

Keytalk API (as of firmware KeyTalk 4.6.x) / Download / Release Notes / Manual

KeyTalk's modern client API gives app and software developers maximum freedom to incorporate secure encrypted data-in-motion and authentication to a suitable backend into their own software.

Our RESTful API makes use of JSON calls over TLS making it lightweight and easy to add to any existing code.

Additionally the API allows any developer to determine their own hardware footprint of a device, contrary to KeyTalk's clients which enforce specific hardware/software characteristics.

You can find a sample Python code on how to potentially add the KeyTalk REST API to your own code here: sample code

Additionally REST API (sample) code as well as our client sourcecode can be found here: KeyTalk Github

Backend authentication software

Backend authentication SDK 4.4.4 / Download / Release Notes / Manual

KeyTalk’s backend authentication SDK allows customers and partners to create any custom secure connector to any type of authentication source. As a result you can transform positive results from non-default supported forms of authentication into a short lived client certificate for secure communication and SSO purposes.

Useful software

Network SSL Scanner / Download / Manual

Many customers want to know what SSL certificates they have in their network. With this KeyTalk sponsored Open Source SSL Scanner, you can index exactly the SSL certificates you have in your network, and all their relevant meta data.

As this software is a network crawler, to get the best performance, its best to run multiple instances of the SSL scanner for different network segments.

Active Directory AltSecurityIdentity update script / Download / Manual

Microsoft solutions, such as OWA and SharePoint, natively support client certificate based authentication. It additionally requires a reference to the client certificate in the AD AltsecurityIdentity attribute.

KeyTalk does not write this information to your AD as that would violate in many cases applicable compliance rules. This PowerShell script allows Admin to populate their AD with the relevant data in order for client certificates to be properly mapped to AD users.
